Water People Theater, in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes Chicago and Whatako Productions, presents LORCA, LIVING THE EXPERIENCE, created and directed by Artistic Director Iraida Tapias. It is a performance combining text and music written and composed by Federico García Lorca.

Theater is an essential space that allows us to bring strong themes to the stage and engage the audience to become agents of change for a fairer society in which discrimination, hatred, and racism have no place.
Helped with we have built in the past 20 years and what we learned throughout the pandemic, LORCA-Living the Experience has allowed for further discussions about freedom and allowed us to create something we had never done before.
THANK YOU to the cast, crew, audience, collaborators, and foundations for joining us, for having been an essential part of our return to face-to-face theater, and for respecting the theater we create. We could not have done this without you.
