How Eco Club is Changing the World

"you’ve got to love it to care for it"

"You’ve got to love it to care for it."

At three Title I schools in Orlando, Florida, teachers from Orange County Public Schools created an award-winning program like no other in the country.

Eco Club is an after-school program that educates today’s youth about the importance of conservation, sustainability, and stewardship. With the motto “you’ve got to love it to care for it,” the curriculum is built around establishing a culture of conservation awareness and environmental stewardship within the school, community, and home. With VoLo Foundation’s support, Eco Club engages students in taking an active interest in improving the environment through project-based learning experiences in nutritional, environmental, and agricultural sciences.
