Ulrike Marie Meinhof<\/strong>, periodista y activista alemana cofundadora del grupo Fracci\u00f3n del Ej\u00e9rcito Rojo\u00a0(RAF)<\/strong>\u00a0fue encarcelada y torturada durante\u00a0200 d\u00edas<\/strong>\u00a0con aislamiento sensorial absoluto. Una tortura que ser\u00eda definida m\u00e1s tarde por Amnist\u00eda Internacional como\u00a0“tortura blanca”.<\/strong><\/p>

Consciente de su imposibilidad de sobrevivir\u00a0\u201cUlrike\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0sigue enfrentando y denunciando al gobierno con su propia humanidad hasta su \u00faltimo aliento. Un grito ag\u00f3nico que revela un crimen de Estado disfrazado de\u00a0suicidio.<\/strong><\/p>

Marrano: A Tale Of Inquisition<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the year 1485, the city of Zaragoza witnessed one of the most horrific crimes in its history. Whilst praying in the cathedral, Pedro de Arbu\u00e9s, the Inquisitor of Arag\u00f3n, was murdered in cold blood by a group of unknown assassins.<\/p>

The story of \u2018Marrano\u201d begins by asking ourselves about the identity and the motives of one of the assassins: Diego de Sevilla, previously known as Uriel. A simple man, son of a shoemaker, whose like changed radically when religious intolerance and fanaticism stripped away all he ever cherished: his faith, his family and his culture.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A queer,\u00a0<\/strong>artful mashup of theater, humor, physical movement, and sumptuous song selections \u2013 spanning decades of pop hits, his own compositions, and the Spanish boleros \u2013\u00a0Migguel Anggelo<\/strong>\u00a0literally peels back an onion layer of personas, strip teasing \u201cLatin lover\u201d clich\u00e9s, and reckoning with the tragic death of his homophobic and disapproving father. With indelible precision, weaving in and out of the audience, the artist connects past and present while unraveling the stereotypes that would otherwise constrain him. With equal doses of sensitivity and sensationalism,\u00a0Migguel Anggelo<\/strong>\u00a0reminds us that our own self-worth is right there in the mirror.\u00a0LatinXoxo<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0was designed to immerse an audience in a highly personal story.\u00a0<\/p>
