Theater as a Bridge between languages | Bilingual Creative Labs

We are deeply proud and grateful for our collaboration with the University of Chicago Lab School. As part of our STUDIO Teens program, we are working with high school students to explore creativity, identity, and human connection through theater, opening spaces for imagination, empathy, and courageous voices to emerge. Together, we continue building bridges, shaping leaders, and transforming lives through the arts.

Program Objectives

  • Support students in developing their voices in both English and Spanish, fostering bilingual communication and self-expression.
  • Inspire human, social, and environmental values while cultivating a sense of community and justice that motivates children to take meaningful action.
  • Enhance creativity, talent, and theatrical skills by committing to social and cultural inclusivity.
  • Provide access to theater and arts education for students with limited opportunities, offering meaningful bilingual creative experiences.
  • Reinforce values for the protection and defense of our shared home, planet Earth.
