As a theater director, The Delicate Tears of the Waning Moon has been a turning point for me. It was a challenge to direct its premiere in English in Chicago and later in Spanish in New York. It has been a true pleasure to be a privileged witness to the organic connection, commitment, honesty, and dedication of the actors. A privilege to lead, in its premieres and revivals, different groups of professionals as talented as they are passionate about theater. Creating distinct stagings for different spaces has been both a meaningful challenge and an unexpected gift, with audiences visibly moved in the theater and offering hugs and heartfelt sincerity after each performance.
