This past Sunday marked the final performance of our spring season in Los Angeles. A heartfelt thank you to Latino Theater Co. for making us feel truly at home and for your incredible generosity. It’s been an unforgettable journey through the power of theater. We’re deeply grateful to the talented, dedicated, and inspiring teams at Water People Theater y Latino Theater Company. You made it all possible.

REBECA ALEMÁN RECEIVES THE OLGA GARAY-ENGLISH AND THE LATE DR. KERRY ENGLISH ATELIER SAMUEL BECKETT RESIDENCY AWARD.

Our very own Rebeca Aleman, Executive Artistic Director, has been honored with the Olga Garay-English and the late Dr. Kerry English Atelier Samuel Beckett Residency Award. This is a well deserved recognition of her enduring impact and artistic excellence.
Rebeca’s artistic journey began at a very young age. As an actress, producer, writer, pianist, and journalist, she has shared her exceptional talents generously, playing a vital role in the growth and success of our organization.
Rebeca continues to break new ground in her career. She was recently honored with the Talia Award in New York City, nominated for Best Actress at the Jeff Awards in Chicago, and saw her play The Delicate Tears of the Waning Moon featured in the spring season of Los Angeles’ Latino Theater Company. This powerful work advocates for the human rights of journalists and sheds light on the tragedy of femicide.
We are fortunate to be guided by her visionary leadership, dynamic energy, and generous spirit as she continues to lead Water People Theater forward.
